After graduating from LMU with an AIMS B.S. last spring, Kit Johnston now works as a Technical SEO Analyst at PatientPop. Her previous experience includes working at Hawthorne, with whom she did her senior capstone and worked as a Data Science Intern. We hope Kit will provide her experiences and insights into navigating her career in data science with an AIMS degree, and speak to her current job and the skills she finds most valuable as an SEO analyst.
Jonathan Golad graduated from LMU in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in information systems and continued his education in his completion of a master of science in information systems and technology from Claremont Graduate University in 2012. His previous work includes working at e-Stet, a litigation technology services provider, where he worked as an analyst, web developer, and senior software developer. From there, he gained new experience as a senior software developer at AtlaSense, an AI platform for modern legal departments. Jonathan now works as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Onna, a data integration platform that connects apps such as Slack, JIRA, and Confluence to provide solutions such as eDiscovery, information governance, knowledge management, and GDPR compliance. We look forward to hearing Jonathan Golad’s advice and insight into finding his fit in his career, and his advice on pursuing technical skill beyond his career.
Marc Geraldez graduated from LMU with a degree in electrical engineering and later returned to pursue his MBA in marketing. Marc Geraldez’s work experience is rich in both engineering roles and work as a product manager. His previous work experience includes eight years at Investor’s Business Daily and working at JibJab Bros. Studios, where he was the product manager for StoryBots, an award-winning children’s education brand. At his current role, Marc Geraldez is a product manager at Scholly, whose products include AI-powered personal writing assistant and math solvers, as well as an adaptive scholarship matching engine. We are excited to hear about Marc Geraldez’s perspective on his career in product management, and we look forward to learning from him!
As a current Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix, Connor Pinkston is a favorite AIMS Society speaker. Connor has shared his career experience and this week, we are looking forward to having him back to share his advice on how he navigated his career from working on the data side of Barack Obama’s campaign, his work as a data scientist and analyst in a start-up culture, to his experience at Hulu, and now Netflix. Nicky Campa is a USC alumna who currently works as the Head of Operations at DG, a blockchain investment firm. She is also a Co-Founder of HerCode Global, a division of the LA Blockchain Lab that works to provide females an education in blockchain foundations, coding, and entrepreneurship.
